Pico De Gallo Salsa

Makes:  2 to 2 cups

A fresh and chunky salsa with tomatoes, chili peppers, mango, cilantro and onions, also known as Pico de Gallo salsa recipe.

 

Ingredients


1 onion, sweet
Jalapeno Plant Grown in Container
4 jalapeno peppers
12 oz. ripe large cherry tomatoes or vine ripe other tomato
fresh mango
1 lime
bunch cilantro or use a few leaves of culantro
Salt
Pepper
tsp. ground cumin (optional)

Cooking Method


  1. Wash all the veggies, mango and lime.
  2. Remove tops and roots from onion and peel. Then chop to small dice.
  3. Cut the jalapenos in half lengthwise and remove seeds and stems and chop to small dice.
  4. Tomatoes cut to small dice.
  5. Cut the peeled and seeded mango half into small pieces
  6. Culantro cut to small pieces.
  7. Put all the ingredients into a mixing bowl and toss together and add salt and pepper, (cumin), to taste and toss and taste to be sure.
  8. Add the juice from the fresh lime.
  9. Place in container for storage or in bowl for service
