A Cooking Adventure with Thom

Potato Cakes

Serves:  4




3 cups mashed potato
cup chopped onions
1 teaspoon salt
cup flour
teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon pepper

Cooking Method

Mix all dry ingredients thoroughly. 

  1. Combine mixture with the mashed potatoes. 

  2. Shape into cakes (like pancakes).

  3. Fry on griddle at 350 until well browned. 

Serve with butter or your favorite sauce or ketchup.  I like them plain.
